The most common dish in Val di Fassa – "canederli" (canederli). This is a typical Tyrolean dish, modified the local gastronomic traditions: bread dumplings made with cheese, bacon or liver. Often served with broth, seasoned with butter or grated cheese. Very tasty add the dumplings right in the stew meat.
In addition to "canederli" widely popular "polenta" (polenta)– polenta with meat, game, mushrooms or cheese. King restaurants is a local soft cheese "Puzzone di Moena" (Puzzone di Moena).
I advise you to try no less colorful dishes in the best Alpine tradition: barley soup "Zuppa di ortsa" (zuppа d orzo), gnocchi with spinach "gnochetti con spinaci" (gnocchetti con spinaci) and, of course, deer "Cervo" (cervo).
Unique and local desserts: Apple strudel "strudel di Mele" (strudel di mele), yoghurt with forest berries "lo yogurt con Frutti di Bosco" (lo yogurt con frutti di bosco) and sweets Fortaies and Ciaroncie.
